“Under Cargill’s leadership, Format Solutions software has become the most widely used technology in the animal nutrition and pet food industries, responsible for manufacturing more tons of products worldwide than any other vendor.”
Format’s software and services cover feed and food formulation, feed manufacturing and operations management. The company serves customers in nearly 100 countries with the goal of digitally transforming livestock nutrition and production.
The business operated as a separate and distinct entity within Cargill, leveraging the agribusiness group’s organizational knowledge and expertise in animal and human nutrition and plant and farm operations.
All employees affiliated with Format will continue in their respective roles after the acquisition, the new owner said.
Datacor, O’Donnell said, is committed to accelerating investments in the Format product suite and “leverage the team’s knowledge of all Datacor products.”
