AirTies Completes Acquisition of Technicolor’s Home Wi-Fi Management Software Business
Besides, Bart Vercammen, who previously served as CTO of Technicolor’s CPE business unit and led their Wireless Doctor team, has joined as Executive Vice President and General Manager of AirTies’ software product line. It will report directly to Philippe Alcaras.
“The acquisition of Technicolor’s talented team further strengthens our software development and management capabilities to meet the growing demand for Smart Wi-Fi,” said Philippe Alcaras, CEO of AirTies. “We are also very happy that Bart Vercammen will join our leadership team and bring deep industry knowledge, skills and vision to AirTies. We also look forward to our brand new business relationship with Technicolor, working as mutual preferred partners, to serve operators around the world. »
As part of the acquisition, AirTies received the Wireless Doctor software portfolio, associated intellectual property, approximately thirty (30) Technicolor employees, and gained access to key relationships with existing Wireless Doctor customers and partners. Wireless Doctor will be used to complement and gradually integrate functionality with AirTies’ Remote Manager, a cloud-based Wi-Fi network management tool that gives broadband service providers real-time visibility into Wi-Fi usage of their subscribers, enabling remote diagnostics and troubleshooting with proactive alarms and insights into data consumption patterns and client devices.
