Acquisition of Aberdeen’s software business – Business Insider

Sustainability consultancy ERM has acquired OPEX Group, as part of its plans to expand its data analytics and artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities.

The deal, for an undisclosed price, will allow it to use OPEX data science solutions to support customers looking to reduce their carbon emissions.

OPEX’s team of 40 employees, headquartered in Aberdeen, will join ERM’s digital and climate change business team.

The acquisition is also expected to allow ERM to grow its digital business, which now includes several products and platforms aimed at achieving data-driven transformations to meet environmental, social and governance (ESG) commitments.
